| AutoTURN is the most widely used software of its kind. Employed by government departments, top design firms, and educational institutions around the globe - no other vehicle analysis program holds such established acceptance. |
NEW! REVERSE THREE-PART VEHICLES
With AutoTURN, you can now reverse vehicles with 3 parts to any possible vector. Also, specialized transport systems can perform straight line reverse maneuvers (based on the last trailer).
NEW! NOW FEATURING INDEPENDENT REAR STEERING
Generate complex vehicle simulations with standard or specialized transport vehicles including independent rear steering systems (crab steering for supported types included). Independent rear steering is controlled either by entering a specific numeric steering angle or by dynamically adjusting the steering angle using the mouse wheel while “driving” the vehicle through a design.
NEW! TELESCOPING TRAILER FUNCTIONALITY
Along with the addition of logging trucks to the vehicle library, AutoTURN now has the ability to handle a telescoping trailer (i.e. wheelbase is a non-static value) for simulating logging vehicles. Test designs for efficiency and safety by analyzing logging vehicle swept paths and assessing rear overhang of logs as they swing out in a corner turn.
NEW! CARGO LOADS FOR SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS
Easily represent an oversize or wide load situation by having the cargo drawn for a vehicle simulation and have its envelope combined with the vehicle body envelope. You can also define the cargo size and limiting factors for vehicle configurations to work within set industry standards to prevent damaging the cargo load and its surrounding structures.
NEW! SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM VEHICLE TYPES
Specialized vehicles such as Wind Tower Trailer, Wind Blade Trailer, 19-Axle Heavy Haul, and Booster Trailer have been added to the AutoTURN vehicle library for use when designing for large scale construction projects.
NEW AND UPDATED! STANDARD VEHICLE LIBRARIES
AutoTURN now includes the FL IDG 2007 (US) standard design vehicle library featuring the Florida specific WB-62FL vehicle configuration. Also, the VAGVERKET (SE), CROW (NL), and ALBERTA INFTRA-HGDG (CA) design vehicle libraries have been updated.
GENERATE INDEPENDENT PATHS
You now have the ability to continue generating new independent vehicle paths from one main simulation path. Save even more time as you explore different maneuvers from the last point of a simulation rather than having to recreate the prior path in its entirety.
MORE OPTIONS FOR SIMULATIONS
With AutoTURN, you can now force a straight line simulation for a vehicle traveling along an arc path. This gives you more options for performing different maneuvers (i.e. lane changes) together in a single and longer vehicle simulation.
TIRE SIZING
Allows designers to change tire sizing (width and diameter) to match manufacturer specifications for custom vehicles.
DISPLAY OPTIONS
Hatch the vehicle body or clearance envelope. Modify colors and line types. View real time radius, steering and articulating angle values when driving a vehicle through a path.
REALISTIC VEHICLE PLAN VIEWS
Use different vehicle plan views in the simulations to increase the realism and quality of presentations.
MODIFY VEHICLE SHAPES
Input dimensions for filleted vehicle radii and chamfered corners to generate more precise envelopes and turns.
PRESENTATION CREATION
Simulations created in AutoTURN can be exported into InVision, then sequenced and converted to video files for visualization and presentation purposes.
COMPLETE VEHICLE DESIGN STANDARDS
AutoTURN includes national standard vehicle libraries for: US (AASHTO, Caltrans) Canada (TAC), Australia (Austroads), New Zealand, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, plus many more countries.
CUSTOM VEHICLE CREATION
Easily create custom vehicles by modifying a copy of an existing vehicle or by individually specifying the characteristic components themselves.
SMARTPATH TOOLS
Innovative SmartPath tools allows the generation of continuous vehicle paths with four interactive drive modes using engineering algorithms for realistic results.
PATH CONTROL
Designers can make adjustments to a vehicle’s path through manipulation of points along the travel way, allowing for fine-tuning of vehicle position.
FRONT AND REAR STEERING LINKAGES
With front and rear steering ability, users can specify different ratios for ranges of steering angles between their front and back wheels - ideal for multi-axle semi-trailer, truck and articulated bus modelling.
OFFSET SIMULATION
Produce vehicle simulations by simply selecting a roadway element such as a curb or pavement edge and entering an offset distance to generate an optimum vehicle path while maintaining a constant clearance from the element.
OVERSTEER CORNER PATH
Realistically evaluate the movement of articulated vehicles during turning maneuvers. Steer a vehicle wide enough so that the trailing unit does not encroach on curbs, pedestrian sidewalks or other vehicles.
